My 1-year Voxiversary
I missed it because it was technically yesterday, but I just completed my first FULL year on Vox! And it went by so quick. Back then it was still called Not Comet. I was working at Six Apart for exactly a week when Robin passed on the invite to me. I knew we were onto something cool instantly. Although I'm no longer a part of the 6A team, I feel like I'm part of the family -- thanks a lot to my neighborhood on Vox. (shout out to all the 6A folks)
I considered myself a blog enthusiast more than a blogger in my life pre-Vox. I had many ideas for blogs, and started more than a couple -- on all kinds of services, from TypePad to Wordpress to Blogger to LiveJournal to MovableType. But it seemed I could never keep one updated for more than a few weeks at a time before I got bored.
When Vox came around, I understood that blogging is not trying to just make interesting posts you think others might enjoy-- it's about communication. Along with my public posts, I also must have hundreds with varying levels of privacy.
So thanks, Vox, for keeping me blogging for over a year consecutively on one platform. It's great how I can sift through the random things I did a year prior.
I'll try to keep up the habit.
