What would you consider to be your 15 minutes of fame so far in life?
There were lots of instances, but here's one that usually surprises people about me:
Let's just say it had to do with the Fast and the Furious. Universal called me up to give them and the director, Rob Cohen, a little introduction to the SoCal streetracing scene. Yea, I was a bit involved back then.
What are some charitable causes that you support or would like to support?
I love supporting all kinds of charitable causes, but the one I'm currently most involved with is Streetside Stories, an absolutely wonderful San Francisco based literacy arts program. Streetside helps students in public schools (which unfortunately don't have arts programs a lot of the time!) to share their life stories, connect with the arts, and improve literacy. They do this through a variety of different programs.
The stories are captured in a variety of ways, from being handwritten and put into a book, to a DVD full of digital stories, and more recently, through their stories blog. Additionally, they feature a student story of the month on another blog.
The stories are very powerful. They need to be told and they need to be heard.
One might now see that the fundamental power behind these programs are similar to what makes blogging so great, which I'm also very passionate about. It truly is a great organization that is improving the lives of countless school children in San Francisco and the surrounding area.
If you have any questions or would like to know more about the program, I'd be happy to answer them.

What books did you love as a child?

The illustrations were just captivating. I loved seeing what people did all day. It made me quite the occupational voyeur.
And you know what else, Charm also liked this book as child. That's why we click.
What's your method for calculating a tip?
Friendliness + Service Quality Level* (could be negative) - Annoyance factor.
* The service quality level includes items like keeping drinks replenished, bringing dishes in a unified manner, not being ignored for lengthy periods of time, and not spilling things on you.
I've always used this simple formula. When the service sucks, so does the tip. When it's good, so is the tip. When there's no service, there's no tip. Easy as pie.
What's the most drastic change you've ever made to your appearance?

So there was this one time that Charm wanted to try and cut my hair. I reluctantly said OK. And then, what do you know, I hear "whoops." That's not good. Yup, cut a little too much.
So, I took the opportunity to just kind of buzz the whole thing. I ran a lot at the time, and it actually wasn't that bad. Here's a photo from Disneyland with me and that haircut.
Do you remember your first flight? Where did you go? Why?

I think I was about 10. San Francisco to Bangkok, via Tokyo. For some reason, my only memory of Japan is staring at a coke vending machine over the layover. Weird, I know. We were going to Thailand for the summer. Growing up, I probably spent 6 summers there.
What do you do to get rid of a cold or flu?
Submitted by ashenflowers.
If it's a cold, go for a run! I always read about this remedy, but never truly tested it until yesterday. I was feeling down, with a sore throat and low on energy. Still, I managed myself to go for a 30 minute jog - albeit slower than normal, but after I swear it helped speed my recovery.
Additionally, I think the only reason I got sick in the first place was because I haven't been keeping up with my running. It does wonders for your immune system.
